The main differences of the Airbus A320Neo and A320-200 are – new engines and presence of wing tips of sharklets type that in summary should reduce by 15% fuel consumption (at the same time sme other systems are modernized but the wing requires strengthening).
But for A320 CEO, with heavy weight of 70t (max this would give approx. 7500kg fuel load with MAX ZFW load), CFM-56 engines and wingtip fences at ISA conditions FL350 at typical cruise speed of M.78 fuel consumption is 2557kg/hour. Corresponding TAS is 475kts, so in still wind conditions this equals to ground speed of 547 statute miles per hour.
Taiwan’s EVA Air has finalised a firm order with Airbus for the purchase of 18 long-range A350-1000s and 15 single-aisle A321neo. This sees the airline become the latest global carrier to select the A350-1000 for its future long haul requirements.
The Airbus A320 family consists of short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger twin-engine jet airliners manufactured by Airbus. The family includes the A318, A319, A320 and A321, as well as the ACJ business jet.
Airbus shrunk the original A319 from the A320 by seven frames, for several reasons: A giant aircraft leasing firm requested the design. Airbus needed an aircraft to compete with the 737-700 and cater to the lower demand segment. When it came to the neo series with new engines, Airbus decided to upgrade to the A319, A320, and A321.
Performance and Frame Rate. Performance on the Fenix A320 is good. As for reference, my personal config consists of an RTX 3070Ti and a Ryzen 7 5800x processor. On 1440p Ultra settings, I manage to get around 40 to 50 FPS during cruise. At a light scenery (such as at default Nice), I average around 50 to 55 FPS.
The A320neo Family incorporates the very latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklets, which together deliver at least 20 percent fuel saving. With more than 8,100 orders from more than 130 customers, the A320neo Family is the world’s most popular aircraft. #Airbus #easyJet #A320 #FIA2022
Superior by design. The A320neo Family boasts the very latest NEO engines, large sharklets and an innovative Airspace cabin. It is today the most comfortable and fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft on the market, delivering a 20% fuel burn and CO2 emissions advantage. Since entry-into-service in 2016, Airbus has delivered over 2000 A320neo
