The Nissan Skyline GT-R NISMO Z-Tune was the last model which carried a 2.8-liter engine with upgraded turbochargers. It could build up to 500 hp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, which is still fascinating as we are now in 2021.

Right now, each R34 would cost below half a million dollars. Unfortunately, the Nissan Skyline R34 GTR is illegal in the United States unless theyâve reached 25 years of age. This is because it doesn't meet the requirements of the 1988 Imported Vehicle Safety Compliance Act. However, people above 25 can own this vehicle legally in the US.

The R34 version of the Nissan Skyline was sold from May 1998 to August 2002. In that time a total of 67262 R34's were sold, according to GTR-Registry. Not every R34 is a Nissan Skyline GT-R, of the total cars 11578 cars were R34 GT-R. The R34 GT-R was sold from January 1999. So the first R34 start turning 25 years old in May of 2023.
